Learn Something New (LSN) offers great classes in Charlotte for adults of all ages, from wine tasting, to walking tours, painting, to professional skills, biking, to bridge! We are always interested in finding new and talented consultants and instructors to join our team.

How long is each class?

That depends. You may have taught your class before and know that it takes two hours, four hours, a full day, or maybe three two-hour sessions. If it is your first time, we have experts who can help you figure that out. LSN has a very flexible schedule to accommodate your class. No class is too small or too long.

Where are classes held?

Sometimes our instructors have a venue. For example, a nursery is a great location for a gardening class. Sometimes LSN provides the location. There are incentives for providing your own approved venue, and other benefits if you are a business owner. Ask us about this!

Where will my class be advertised?

LSN does a considerable amount of advertising in the area in which the class is held. We use print, electronic media, and radio. We are very enthusiastic about our class schedule and take every available opportunity to spread the word. We welcome your help in promoting your class. You know it better than anyone so help us make sure to have a full enrollment and avoid any class cancellations.

What do I have to do?

First and foremost, you should be passionate. Once you've nailed that, you should have clear objectives for the class content and a goal to add value for our students. We would love to see your course curriculum or we can help you define it. Lastly, you will need to be responsible and trustworthy, and provide references who will tell us so. How do I know if it went well?

We survey our students and our instructors. Feedback is critical to our success. We want you to be happy and we want our students to be happy.

How do I get paid?

Great question! Our instructors are paid consultants. Upon successful completion of the class we will give you a check for an agreed upon amount. We do not take out taxes, and will issue a year-end 1099 form. Amounts vary depending on your class topic, class length, expertise, venue, requirements, etc., however LSN wants to be fair and generous to you AND we want you to come back!
